I hate crayons, they are my mortal enemy. The kids know if I find one unattended it will go start to the trash. Has your kids ever drew on the wall? Mine have and still do, drives me crazy. Good new it is not the end of the world. Here is a couple of tricks to get that beautiful panting off the walls.
- Magic eraser is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. They have a new one that looks good but I have not tried it yet, Here it is.
- Sometimes good old Dawn soap and water will do the trick, but that will require lots of elbow grease.
- Every now and again one of the kids make a pretty good drawing on the wall and it is just easier to frame it, at least for a little while.
- Last but not least you could paint a section of your wall with chalkboard paint which is a neat way to let the kids draw on the wall but not make a giant mess. They also have magnetic paint we have not used this yet, but I will post about it when we do.
It is best to also paint with high gloss paints as they clean easier. It is important to teach the kids not to color on the walls, but they are kids and most still do. We had all the kids not coloring on the walls. I thought yes we have finally made it to the land of no more paint. Then my sweet baby started to draw on the walls and all the others must have thought, "Hey, there is something I have not done in awhile" and now we are starting all over again. As my wife says just stay calm and it will pass too. Hopefully I will make it. Stay safe out there.
